Job Description
The Electrician is responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing electrical systems and equipment in compliance with safety standards and regulations. The role requires technical expertise in diagnosing electrical issues, performing preventive maintenance, and ensuring reliable operation of electrical systems in residential, commercial, or industrial settings.
Key Responsibilities
- Install, inspect, and maintain electrical systems, wiring, lighting, and control equipment.
- Diagnose and repair electrical issues in a timely and efficient manner.
- Perform preventive maintenance to ensure system reliability and safety.
- Read and interpret technical diagrams, blueprints, and wiring schematics.
- Ensure compliance with electrical codes, standards, and safety regulations.
- Collaborate with other technicians, engineers, and maintenance teams as needed.
- Maintain accurate records of repairs, inspections, and maintenance activities.
- Respond promptly to emergency breakdowns and electrical faults.
- Recommend improvements for energy efficiency and system performance.
- Use appropriate tools, testing devices, and protective equipment safely.
