Job Description
The Janitor is responsible for maintaining cleanliness, hygiene, and orderliness in the facility. This role ensures a safe and clean environment for employees, visitors, and clients by performing cleaning and basic maintenance tasks.
Key Responsibilities
- Clean and sanitize offices, restrooms, hallways, and common areas.
- Sweep, mop, vacuum, and polish floors.
- Empty trash bins and dispose of waste properly.
- Replenish supplies such as soap, paper towels, and toilet paper.
- Perform minor repairs and report major maintenance issues.
- Ensure cleaning equipment and tools are properly maintained.
- Follow safety procedures and use cleaning chemicals responsibly.
- Support special cleaning tasks (e.g., event preparation, deep cleaning).
- Assist in maintaining a safe and orderly workplace environment.
Skill & Experience
- Previous experience in janitorial or housekeeping work preferred.
- Knowledge of cleaning practices, equipment, and chemicals.
- Ability to work independently and follow instructions.
- Attention to detail and commitment to cleanliness.
- Physical ability to perform tasks such as lifting, bending, and standing for long periods.
- Reliability, punctuality, and a positive attitude.
